Smithfield has hosted the 2014/2016 world downhill cup and 2017 UCI World Championships, and have a world recognized trail network with some of the best trails in Australia. They don't have the biggest mountains, but they are all steep and matched with varied terrain. Riders will be racing raw, steep rainforest hand cut trails, with a small mix of flow trails Over the two days of racing riders can expect roughly 1200m of climbing and six stages.
Smithfield is rainforest riding at its best with steep shoots to long sections covered with roots to keep you on your toes and best of all, it all finishes on the beach!
