The Enduro Sports Organisation owns and operates the mountain bike Enduro World Series and electric MTB equivalent, EWS-E. With a global community of events and professional teams and thousands of amateur and professional  athletes. We work alongside the fastest racers, the biggest brands and most inspiring destinations around the world. With recent investment from Discovery Inc, Play Sports Group and Eurosport, we have joined with the biggest cycling community in the world and have ambitious plans to develop all platforms across numerous events, sports and technological frontiers in the coming years.

About the role

We’re looking for several passionate sport and events coordinators to join our full time staff team at ESO. We firmly believe that the greatest bike racing, festivals and events come from combining the sport, athletes, fans, communities and destinations. Therefore, we’re looking for event coordinators passionate about sport who will report directly to our Event Directors, Director of Sport, Athletes and Partnership managers.

Successful applicants will help us to develop mountain bike racing at all levels and assist in the delivery of both domestic and international events. These roles will be varied, dynamic and allow the successful applicant to work across all aspects of our events and learn from and report to an experienced international management team.  

Experience and interest across different areas including event management and operations, event branding and production, sporting pathways, event administration and event marketing will all be valued as we build our Sport and Event Coordinator team.

We’re looking for someone:

  • Focused, self-motivated with a lot of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Have an ability to work alone or within a dynamic team
  • Complete tasks set by senior management on time 
  • Able to manage time effectively 
  • With excellent administration skills and a great attention to detail
  • With excellent event management skills and experience
  • Able to communicate effectively in complex and pressurised environments
  • An ability to plan multiple events at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Who can deliver both large and small projects on time and within budget
  • Who can follow processes and develop new protocols and procedures when required
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with attendees, volunteers, partners and venues


With experience of: 

  • Event management
  • Cycling and especially mountain bike racing and festivals
  • Sales and event marketing 


It’d be great if you also have experience with:

  • Delivery of festivals and major events
  • National and International sporting federation sanctioning and processes
  • Administration and application of sporting rules and regulations 
  • Working knowledge of common software, especially Google Workspace, Slack, Trello and common event management programmes
  • The bike industry
  • eMTB riding and innovation and/or motorsport event experience

  • Monday to Friday with flexible working available and weekend requirements during events

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Flexible working hours available with an expectation to be able to work from an office in Innerleithen, Scotland, EH44 6HF as required
