Rude leads out 2021 Yeti Team

12 March 2021

Richie Rude and Shawn Neer will once again strap on the number plates for the Yeti / FOX Factory Race Team at the Tennessee National Championship at Windrock Bike Park in Oliver Springs, Tennessee this weekend.

Richie Rude & Shawn Neer will be between the tape and leading out Yeti at the EWS Gold Qualifier in Tennessee this weekend

The National and Devo Yeti / FOX race teams will kick off the season this weekend as well. After an extremely light 2020 race schedule, the team is looking to shake off the rust and get back into the flow of racing. “With COVID shutting down much of the 2020 season, we can’t wait to get the team racing again, it’s been way too long,” said Yeti president Chris Conroy.

The Yeti / FOX National and Devo Teams will also be hitting up Windrock Bike Park this weekend

The Yeti / FOX National and Devo Teams which, for years, have provided the foundation for the Factory Team program, continues to be stocked with world class talent. Jubal Davis, Quinn Reece, Warren Kniss and Lauren Bingham all return this year. Most recently, the athletes were training in Pacifica, California with a focus on this year’s Big Mountain Enduro title. A behind the scenes write up of the weekend is posted on Yeticycles.com.

“I’m excited to get back to some sort of normalcy and these races are helping to do just that. The entire team has put in hard, individual efforts to prepare for 2021 and I’m thrilled to be able to get them back between the tape,” said Damion Smith, Yeti / Fox team manager.

Mechanical support will be provided by longtime World Team mechanic, Shaun Hughes and National Team mechanic, Mark Hild.

Yeti continues its long-standing relationship with team co-title sponsor Fox Factory suspension. Shimano, Maxxis, DT Swiss, Giro, Cush Core and Toyota all return as well. New for 2021, OneUp Components will take over bar and stem responsibilities, while continuing their chain guide, bash guard and on-bike tool duties. Also new for the ’21 season, Occam Designs will outfit the team with their Apex Frame strap for on-bike storage and Race Face will help look after the physical safety of the team with their knee, elbow and back protection gear.

Expect to see much of the Yeti / FOX Race teams compete at The Big Mountain Enduro race series, starting on May 2 in Ironton, MO and the Yeti / FOX Factory Team at Enduro World Series races which kick off June 23 in Val di Fassa, Italy.
