Finale Ligure in Italy is perhaps the most iconic enduro destination in the world - and now riders can experience it like never before thanks to EWS Travel.
The Enduro World Series is excited to announce that this famous destination is the latest venue to be offered through EWS Travel, a new type of riding holiday designed to put you in the very heart of the local mountain bike community.
Finale is a mtb paradise - with trails that take you from the mountains all the way to the beach
Finale as a destination is synonymous with racing, having hosted the Enduro World Series every year since its inception in 2013. Some of the biggest names in sport have taken to the trails that criss cross the region’s mountains before dropping down to the Mediterranean Sea, and now everyone can follow in their tracks, at their own pace.
The vibrant local riding community has shaped Finale into something extraordinary - not just in their careful curation of an ever expanding trail network, but in the way they’ve embraced mountain biking culture and put rider experience at the forefront of everything they do - from shuttle services to hotels and trail side coffee stops.
Pizza and coffee in the famous Finale piazza is an essential mid ride ritual
More than just a riding holiday, EWS Travel will immerse you in the local scene in Finale, where an expert guide will take you away from the crowds and into some of the region’s untouched gold, far away from the Strava crowds. You’ll get to meet the people who build the trails, and if you like, even pick up some tools and help them shape a berm or two. And after an incredible day on the trails, descend back down to the beach on pristine single track for a cold beer and a pizza in the famous Finale piazza.
Louise Paulin (centre) is not only a Finale local, but she just happens to be the 2019 Enduro World Series Master Champion too
As if all that weren't enough, you'll be following the lines of our 2019 Enduro World Series Master Champion, Louise Paulin, who is your expert local guide in Finale.
Chris Ball, Managing Director of the Enduro World Series, said: “Finale is the spiritual home of enduro racing - in fact it was over a bottle of red wine in the Finale piazza that the idea for the series was first conceived.
“This area, and the community within it, has shaped the sport as we know it today. Since the EWS first visited Finale in 2013, the region’s trail network has continued to grow, and what has been raced is only the tip of the iceberg. A week in Finale exploring these trails amongst the people who have helped to build, maintain and expand them is an opportunity not to be missed.”
