EWS 2019 – new French venue for round 5!

9 February 2018

The 2019 Enduro World Series Calendar reveal continues and it’s another brand new venue for round five, Les Orres in France.

This ski resort in the Hautes-Alpes region of South Eastern France will offer up a classic slice of French style enduro; big Alpine descents, long stages and the odd chairlift ride to get to the top of those big mountain stages.

Julie Rogissard from the Les Orres Tourism Office, said: “The race in Les Orres will offer ideal height differences (2600m to 800m) and a diversity of spots to the riders. You can expect beautiful single track with technical corners and a lot of speed, through the “mélèzes” forest. The starting point will be at the top of the slopes, at 2600m, surrounded by a breathtaking 360° view and a panorama over the Serre-Ponçon lake.

“Les Orres is honoured to host the EWS competition and to welcome top-level athletes from all around the world. This is the result of the endeavour and of investments over the past few years to make Les Orres the mountain biking destination in France.”
