2017 Public Lottery Update

1 February 2017

The Enduro World series regrets that the 2017 Public Lottery will rerun again later this week. A small error in the entry software created an insurmountable amount of corrupt data regarding rider entries. The EWS team tried working through the millions of cells of data, but decided that ultimately they wanted to be certain that everyone who applied for the lottery had a fair shot. Therefore in order to maintain absolute transparency and fairness for all riders, they have decided to rerun the lottery.

This rerun will not be open to any new applications, it is only being offered to those who applied the first time around. Applicants will be emailed a personalised link in the next 48 hours, and then have a further 48 hours to complete their application again. All applicants have already been refunded the money being held on their payment cards.

The Global Wildcards have been chosen and the successful applicants are published here. Local Wildcards have also been selected and will be contacted directly about how to finalise their applications.

Chris Ball, Managing Director of the Enduro World Series, had the following message for riders:  “I want to sincerely apologise to all of you – this is not the level of service you have come to expect from us and no-one could be more upset by this failure than myself and the rest of the EWS team. The new entry system is part of an ambitious new software development program we’ve been creating and we’re truly sorry that it hasn’t worked out this time around. Thank you all for your support and patience  – let’s get this lottery done again so we can get back to what’s important – riding bikes together in amazing places!”
